This legislation applies to public utilities and entities furnishing natural gas, heat, water, sewerage, and street railway services to the public. Article 4 (58-5-400 et seq.) of this legislation is the Natural Gas Rate Stabilization Act, which directly addresses rates for natural gas service, and Article 9 (58-5-900 et seq.) is the South Carolina Gas Safety Act of 1970.
