Date:  10/23/19

Written by:Yves Guglielmi (yguglielmi@lbl.gov; 510‐529‐9801) 10/23/19

SURF Personnel: George Vandine

Location(s): 4100 Level Battery Alcove

Summary

1.          We (Yves Guglielmi, LBNL; Paul Cook, LBNL; Florian Soom, LBNL, and George Vandine, SURF) took the 7:00 am cage down to the 4100 Level to continue the installation of the Step Rate Injections for Fracture In‐situ Properties (SIMFIP) in the 4100m borehole.

2.          A toolbox talk was initiated and the day’s activities were discussed along with mitigations.

3.          The upper packer of the SIMFIP tool was assembled to the probe, and the whole assembly was hanged at the head of the borehole.

4.          The different lines, the optical fiber and the compass were connected to the top of the probe, each element being tested after its connection to the probe
