Daily Shift Report 16 January 2018

Location(s):  4850 Level - EGS Collab SIGMA-V drill site

Purpose:

       Geophysical well logging

 

Science Hours (total) Site:

Surface: 0 hrs 50 min

Underground:  20 hrs  40 min

Irregularities:

       Nothing today!!

 

Actions:

       Arrived on surface at 6:15 am

       Arrived for 6:30 am cage

       After arriving on site performed toolbox talk to discuss the hazards of the day

       Put new conveyance with 2” centralizers together

       Called into SigmaV field call

       Greased all ¾” and 3” pvc piping

       Did practice runs with FTC and FWS inside the temp casing in OP

       Conveyed the 3” piping into OT well flush with steel casing, tied it off with two safety ropes and clamped it in place to prevent movement

       Ran FTC, EM-Gamma, and FWS in OT well with no issues

       Relocated temp casing into OB for runs tomorrow

       Fixed gutter on PST to measure outflow

       Noted FSB is flowing (can see particulate floating on water surface flow over casing lip)

       Will build gutter on PSB tomorrow

       Electricians checked peristaltic pump and approved it

       Did guide walk #1 with George

       Geophysics crew left at 4:45pm

Acts of Safety: Daily safety talk

Near Misses or Incidents:Cabling associated with the borehole logging system presented a tripping hazard that was addressed by minimizing the need to step over the cables and better cable management practices.
