Daily Shift Report January 2018

Location(s):  4850 Level - EGS Collab SIGMA-V drill site

       Geophysical well logging and Surveying

 

Science Hours (total) on Site:

Surface: 1 hrs 00 min

Underground:  11 hrs  00 min

Irregularities:

       Got FWS stuck in OI at 4” gap but was easily retrieved with the conveyance.

Actions:

       Arrived for 6:30 am cage

       After arriving on site performed toolbox talk to discuss the hazards of the day

       Ran EM-Gamma and FTC sondes in OP

       Ran EM-Gamma, FTC, and FWS sondes in OI

       PST had started to flow again by this morning but no flow measurement made due to time restrictions

       Measured the each well stick up distance from collar to rib face.

       Staged all logging gear off the track until work next Monday

       Noted on weekly SIGMA-V call that we needed to request the permanent lights (like at kISMET) be ran between kISMET and Governors corner

       Dennis will send up the sewer camera to investigate the blockage in PSB

       Geophysics crew left at 5:15pm

Acts of Safety: Daily safety talk

Near Misses or Incidents:Cabling associated with the borehole logging system presented a tripping hazard that was addressed by minimizing the need to step over the cables and better cable management practices. Stuck FWS in OI but got it out.
