California Independent System Operator (ISO) is a company based in Folsom, California: Energy Resources and provides, “insights to the wholesale energy market and grid” through modeling and planning energy transmission needs. The Board of Governors approves the annual budget and advises policy grid planning, market alterations and transmission decisions. The ISO also provides regulatory roadmaps, operating procedures, and grid participation information to industries and public persons.
