Blue Ridge Mountain Electric Membership Corporation, in collaboration with [http://www.tva.gov/ The Tennessee Valley Authority], offers an incentive for its residential members to build their new homes with energy efficiency in mind through their [http://www.energyright.com/ energy right] Residential Program.  If the home is less than a year old, and it is built to meet the energy right® requirements, the homeowner may receive a $300 rebate on a 40 gallon or greater Marathon Water Heater. You may also build to Energy Right specifications, but choose not to install a Marathon Water Heater. If you install a standard electric water heater, pending inspection, you may still be eligible for a rebate of $150 on a 30 gallon or greater conventional electric water heater.
