Stage 2


The stakeholder group and technical teams can:

  • Review and summarize existing documents such as national strategies and, sectoral development plans for priority topics in work plan
  • Review existing policies and their potential impact on emissions trends, (e.g., REDD+ strategies and programs)
  • Review existing practices and technologies by sector in terms of their potential contributions to development and emissions trends
  • Assess policies that influence future emissions for all sectors, including land use, transportation, energy, governance, and forest and agricultural policies
  • Review existing practices and technologies by sector in terms of their potential contributions to emissions trends (see table 2.1.1)
  • Assessment should includes broad stakeholder consultation for inputs and feedback
  • Assess existing institutional capacity to develop and implement LEDS strategies

  • Existing policies, technologies and practices by sector and how they affect emissions and removals in that sector and in other sectors

Analysis of lessons learned from relevant previous sustainable development efforts in the country
