'''[[GTZ]]''' is working with '''ASEAN countries''' on the project with the following objective: „Clean air policies are developed by and implemented in ASEAN member countries, thereby contributing to improving the livelihoods of people.”
+
Programme Objective:

The project aims at assisting smaller and medium cities in the ASEAN region in planning and implementing local clean air policies in order to improve the living conditions of people. In seven out of the ten ASEAN member states, 1-2 cities are selected that receive assistance and policy advice in planning clean air policies. Private sector and civil society will be involved as well.
+
The objective of the Cities, Environment and Transport in the ASEAN Region (CET) programme is to reduce emissions from transport and industry by providing co-benefits for local and global environmental protection. The programme aims to strengthen human, regulatory and institutional capacities for environmental and climate protection at the regional, national and subnational level in the ASEAN region. It assists partner institutions in the region in improving air quality, promote energy efficient transport and increase competitiveness while simultaneously achieving greenhouse gas emission reductions.

Key products include policy advice, capacity building and trainings, and, to a lesser extent, non-monetary resources for selected smaller cities for simple air quality measuring instruments.
